2000 TJ - Idle Issue No Codes

There are no codes. What's the issue? Im unsure.

Jeep has rough idle, acceleration is inconsistent or poor some days, car will shut off randomly after idling at a stop light. After a stop light, when I accelerate the jeep will stall/jerk. I also feel as though my Jeep has less power than it used to. When I accelerate it seems as though the pickup is just sluggish. No mechanics have been able to help me sort out the issue. I've been in and out of AAMCO multiple times. Doesnt seem any mechanic is willing to take the time and really test drive my Jeep.

What I've done:

• Crankshaft Sensor
• MAP Sensor
• Throttle Position Sensor
• Spark Plugs
• Coil Pack
• Cleaned the Throttle Body
• Transmission Rebuilt (AAMCO Special )
• Oil Change (obviously right?)
• O2 Censors

Does anyone have any suggestions? - or - Can anyone recommend/suggest a Jeep Mechanics in NY?

I was thinking I should change the fuel rail and injectors. But that is all I can think of and I still don't know if that is the issue. Now it feels like I'm just throwing parts at my Jeep. But I refuse to part ways so all information is welcome.

Anytime I am dealing with ruff idle I start by cleaning idle air control valve. You said you cleaned the Throttle body but cleaning the iac specifically. There are detailed write ups on this. Parts store Crank Sensor will cause random stalling. Needs to be a mopar sensor. Parts store sensors do not jive with tj/lj's.

Agree with Fluxor, Mopar is needed especially for TPS. The other thing to consider is vapor lock/heat soak. Was having tons of issues with idle and stalling, especially in stop and go traffic. The heat shield around the injectors was rotted out, so I replaced, added the shield around the fuel rail and injectors. Issue gone. DEI makes a good one and inexpensive part, worth doing just to make sure it's not something simple.

Check pressure off the shrader valve on the fuel rail with key on but engine not running. Should be around 45 psi IIRC. I had this issue and my fuel pump was dying.
Also worth checking your Idle Air Controller if you havent already. Heres a thread on how to clean it
