Wasn't the small block Chevy (350 or 383 stroker) the hot item not too many years ago? Seems like a lot of kits would be available. The 383 is on my wish list. Crate engines or slightly used should be readily available

Had a 76' in British Racing Green, we sold it 2 years ago before making the move to the west coast. Loved that little thing although I will say that Jeeps are easier to work on.

I will probably be selling mine on BAT in spring, I am finished working on it and just too big to drive it....having more fun with the TJ.

The TR6 was really my Wife's play toy as she is only 5-4 and fit in it. I just kept it going for her. Love that color.

Yes on the esthetics but no on the electrical, although I really can't complain, mine really does not drip, never left me stranded. I think the engines are very similar to a TJ, both came from tractors and very torquey straight six.

Electrical goes without saying. EVERYTHING from the Isles has terrible electrical...Jags, Rovers, Triumph, Morgans...I don't MG's are too bad, but then again, they are even more simple than an old CJ.

At least the TR6's were not positive ground !
