2003 Sahara: Fram TG16 oil filter looks too big

ok like the title says. The fram tg16 is called for in the application guid but it appears to be too large. This filter looks to be the size on my 1998 but it had an adapter. This Jeep, no adapter just straight out of the block.

What say you?

According to the official Fram website, it fits all Wranglers from 97-06:

So yeah, it fits.

I just use a FL-1a Motorcraft on my Wrangler 4.0 ...have been since new in 2002

That's exactly what I run on my 4.0 TJ.

Update. It fits fine, I was just shocked the can is quite a bit larger than the surface it mounts to. Also the techs that swapped my oil on my last road trip used a much smaller “Prime”filter. I just wanted to make sure there was no variant out there that used a different filter.
