my 2003 TJ heater/ac is not working correctly. I put the selector on dash vents and it blows out of the floor and/or defrost. And it changes as I drive, sometimes associated with acceleration. Maybe a vacuum leak? Any ideas on how I fix this? I tried replacing the actual control module and it did nothing.

Ok. One way you can check for a vacuum leak is to pull the vacuum line off the reservoir bottle. If you hear air rush in to the bottle your vacuum should be ok. If not grab a cigar and pull the line off the break booster. Blow smoke into the line and watch to see where it is escaping from.

To me your problem sounds vacuum related because the vent system is controlled through vacuum.

Sounds like vacuum leak/s. Check all the lines along the firewall down to the vacuum reservoir under the battery. The lines can rub at places and create holes. To fix mine I bought some rubber vacuum line then cut and spliced it in as necessary. Worked great and far cheaper than buying a new vacuum harness.
