Hey all,
I need some advice, before I shell out money. My 2005 Jeep Wrangler Sport starting making a noise, it makes a mechanical rubbing noise followed by a high pitch whistling sound, that sounds like a belt, but it's coming from the passenger side rear. it seems to do it more when slowly turning to the right. It has 134k miles and I already did the rear, transfer case, and axle bearings.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated, as I'm disabled and on a fixed income.
Thanks!

I had a similar problem today during slow speed driving in central Washington. Hi pitch whining from the passenger seat area. I narrowed it down to our 2 month old doodle puppy , or my 55 year old spouse ( I did suspect tranny or the u-joints briefly).
Turned out to be the spouse. She was swearing at a very high pitch that sounded like the tire rubbing on the fender.
She cooks well and makes me laugh so I have stick it out, but she probably won’t be riding backroads with me for a while.
Some times you need to drive it til it breaks. Some times not!

Thanks for the laugh, but like my old man always told me, "you don't need two wives to have one too many". Plus, I do most of my driving by my lonesome.
Take care, and be safe!
