Well once again a bunch of time (10 months) has gone by since I added any follow up to my build on this forum. To add to it can't believe were in this crazy situation right now. Another thing to add to the long list of why to own a Jeep. Its great for social distancing and healthy for your mind to just jump in the Jeep and go crawling through the woods alone. So I have been busy and here is what I have done. Very proud that I have done all the work with exception of gears/locker install, was fearful of screwing that up. Oh yeah one thing I got done that was more important than all the below. I got the 2006 TJ Unlimited added to Hagerty's Insurance list and now have my Jeep insured for what I have in it for a very low yearly cost. I submitted to underwriters production numbers and some write ups on how the Jeep community loves the LJ's and pics/details of mine and that they are a collector vehicle. Took quite a bit of persistence but I go it done about 3 months ago. So if you have one and its not a daily driver I suggest getting a quote. I'm sure 04,05 could be added as well.
-ARB air Lockers front/rear
-4.88 gears-Best decision I have made along with the Falcon Shocks
-RuffStuff diff covers
-ARB twin Air compressor w/2.5 gal air tank mounted inside on top of my sub box that holds 2ea 10" JL Audio subs. Was too pretty to put under my Jeep.
-500w JL Audio amp- mounted under steering wheel. not easy but worth the pain. Just added one in same spot in my daughters 06 LJ last week.
-Oracle ColorShift Halos and rock lights (swore I would never do this) but I did and now like it
-s-POD- wish I did this first. Its a must have not a need to have
-Phantom Quick Draw- Cool product.
www.phantomholsters.com
-MetalCloak Arched 6" fenders/flares and rock sliders- This was a lot of work and $$$ but worth every bit of it. Really changed the look and capability of my Jeep
-Kleinn air horn- yeah was against this too but my 16yr old son talked me into it. Was easy/cheep add since I had the air system and is kinda fun.
-Front and rear bumpers are next. Probably JCR Offroad
One more thing I did in my spare time- Helped a friend put King Coil overs on a JKU. Holy S@!$% was that a challenge for a couple guys that did not have a lift or any experience with installing them.
