my 2006 rubicon sputters during acceleration, and the check engine light came on; my mechanic's computer said it was a faulty crankshaft position sensor; he replaced it and that fixed it on the ride home; the next morning when i started it up, the same problem reoccurred; any ideas?

Is it throwing any codes? If so, let us know which codes it's throwing.

im not sure what e did, only that he fixed it temporarily, then it happened again the next morning

You didn't answer our question. Is it throwing any codes?

it is now june, i've replaced my ecm computer and the problem persists; first thing in the morning (i live in hawaii, never gets below 68 degrees), the jeep sputters when rpms get to about 2500; after turning the jeep off at work, it works great for the rest of the day, never sputtering regardless of the rpms; the check engine light is usually on, but sometimes stays off for a day or so; has anyone ever heard of similar instances?
