3rd Brake Light

Had to put one on my 2006 LJ Rubicon. Got one from Quadratec for ~$21 incl shipping. Drilled hole in tire carrier for white ground wire. Spliced Pos wire under R pass fender. Jeep wire colors are all over the map on internet. Mine changed colors after connector inside light assembly. Wire the gave me brake light was RED on bulb side.

There are existing factory wires that are attached to the pass thru terminals on pass side of cargo hatch. Not sure why you are doing the wiring that way.
