Hello, first time posting long time reader. There have been a lot post about 42RLE trans. My 06 LJ Rubican
Had Trans rebuilt several months ago and added the Rubi crawler. It was driving great around town(200 miles) but finally headed to the trail and made it about 12 miles down the freeway before it spewed trans fluid and went into limp mode. Code P0845 came up on my reader. Will be taking back to the shop but not trusting this unit. Anyone have experience with ATS diesel heavy duty rebuilt trans they offer ?

I’ve run the purple units for many years without any issues. Both a 42RLE behind a supercharged 4 liter, and currently a 545RFE behind a 500+ pony Hemi. For me, they have been flawless.

But I may just be lucky. I’ve heard from many folks who have had various issues. Blaine has said he will not even touch one if it comes into his shop. Hard to discount his experience.
