What does "no 4WD" mean? Did you not get a dash light? When in 4 LO, did it go into low-range or did it stay as if it were in normal highway driving?

The dash light is just an indicator. The t-case is manual. The stock linkage can come out of adjustment or even disconnected. I would crawl underneath and disconnect the linkage rod from the t-case lever. I would then move it by had to the required position and test them all. If all positions are working, it's not a t-case problem ... Adjust the linkage, or better yet, replace it with a Savvy cable shifter and never worry about it again.

Something on the shift mech might be disconnected, look under neath while someone moves the lever.
You'll love it. Just spend a few extra minutes getting it adjusted spot on and you'll never need to touch it again.
Check with @Jerry Bransford but I seem to recall him saying the Savvy is better, something about the mount maybe? Hopefully he'll jump in or your could PM him.
