4WD selection is backwards

Just get in there an mess with that linkage until it looks like it is supposed to, you'll find plenty of good pictures on the internet that show what it's supposed to look like. You appear to have the stock setup so it should go back together just fine.

This should help, the pictures are pretty good, just ignore the little drop bracket.

Edit: obviously ignore the fact that the thread I linked to is titled "Transfer Case Linkage Problems"
Sounds good. I’ll just keep messing with it and update on how it goes.

Is the rectaglngular slot in that linkage supposed to fit over the piece from the t-case or does it just rest against it? I’ve been trying to get it to fit over it and straight up can’t get it to slide onto it, so I’m wondering if the piece coming off the t-case is bigger than the slot on the linkage. The pic below isn’t on mine, btw. It’s from that thread you sent me

From what I’ve been hearing, the stock linkage is just garbage anyway and should be replaced. If that’s the case, I’ll definitely replace it at some point, but for now I just need to get this thing drivable.

Disregard this. I managed to get it on with the linkage facing up. Now just gotta get it to work with it facing down.

The link that goes to the t-case lever is on the underside of the barrel for the bell crank. One lever is up, one is down on the bell crank so the lower lever and it's link go to the t-case lever and that needs to be on the bottom.
