Hi Guy. I have a 97 TJ and my blower motor switch is bad. Ordered a new one and when it came in it was a bit different then the original one. Every where I went they all came up with the same part number for this.

The new switch has a longer and thinner shaft. Chrysler dealer said they don't make the switch for that I have to purchase the whole control head and it's a discontinued item. Has anyone replaced their blower motor switch on a 97 TJ? If so what part number did you use.

First pic is the new switch.

You said 5 contacts how many switch position do you have on new switch 4 or 5. If 5 you will now have 1 dead or 2 off positions. Relocate wires to new switch by un-clipping contacts on old switch add to new connector if you have one if not you need to buy new harness plug. If you don't know how to un-clip contacts look at youtube
