I've seen other threads and learned that there is 2 types of hood safety latch types. My TJ has the early style latch behind the grill. The hood I bought has the newer style latch and spring on the hood itself. Anyone come up with a solution or just upgrade the stock rubber hold downs to something else?

I upgraded to the Kentrol Stainless Steel Latches because I didn't want to change the look of the OEM hood latches. A bit heavier duty and stopped the hood flutter.
