98 Sahara ignition problems

I just bought a 98 Sahara and the blower motor wasn’t working. I traced the issue back to no power on #8 fuse. I also don’t have power on fuses 5, 6, or 7. I traced it back to the ignition switch and no power on the black and orange wire. I have voltage in and the jeep starts and runs great but I can’t seem to get power on the black/orange wire. I replaced the ignition switch with a new one and still the same condition. What am I missing? Also what is with the 2 wire green connector? What is its purpose? Could it stop me from getting power to the black and orange wire?

So where are you checking for voltage? At the fuse block? According to your wiring diagram the BK/OR wire feeds fuses 5, 6, 7, & 8, but only in the run position. Is that the key position you have it in when you're checking?

Also what 2 wire green connector are you talking about?

Yes it’s in the run position. I’m checking for voltage at the key switch before the fuse box. And I’m referring to the second connector on the key switch that only has 2 wires going into it.

This connector. What is this terminal for?

That's the key-in sense switch.

Just replaced it and same condition. Could I have purchased a defective switch?

So if the key in switch isn’t made would it stop power to the black and orange wire?
