99 2.5 to 4.0 swap

Put this in the build thread cause it is a slow work in progress my previous post was in gen discussion update on the 2000 4.0 frame got my rust buster frame repair from quadatec and picked up a Forney 20p plasma cutter man am I having fun with it cutting the frame a tad big incase I see an oppise lol it's a slow process but it's coming along

More progress on bumblebee did a lil patch work where the springs in the rear sit was all rusted out got the rear lift in undercoated the fuel tank skid plate hahahahahahaha don't mind the cat one question I do have tho with the rear since I have a double carbin deivesaft goin in do I have to worry bout pinion angle or dropping the transfercase skid plate?

With a DC rear driveshaft and a SYE you should not need to drop the tcase unless you’re on 5” or taller lift springs. You will need to increase the rear pinion angle to match the DS.
 
Another update on bumblebee got the front axel in new upper and lower control arms and shocks and motor mounts getting excited that much closer to getting the body off the old one tomorrow plan to get fuel tank mounted all new brake lines ran and hoping to mate transfercase tranmission and motor together then drop that in so I can start pulling the harness and swapping it for the 2001 harness still long road ahead of me just wish I had more time to work on it

Update on bumblebee got transfercase drained transmission drained new clutch kit installed got engine trans and transfercase mated and dropped in the vehicle had to adjust rear upper control arms to offset a lil pinion angle still needs adjustment but alot better then the pic I posted lol am I gonna have to do the same to the front? I added the sye so I didn't have to drop the transfercase skid plate

Once you get it completely assembled point the rear yoke at the tcase output.

Another update on bumblebee got the new brake lines ran and body swapped did 3 coats of underbody coating on underside of the body got the new used ecm from a 01 wrangler next up is pull steering shaft off my old frame looking into a cable shift for the 4x4 instead of that cheap bracket still have to find someone around here that can adjust my pinion angle for me every shop I called said they can align it but not adjust the pinion angle with the dana 30 n 35 what is the max tire I can run cause I have plenty of room in the fenders

Well when it rains it pours since my 04 engine has split manifolds bought a new 01 manifold and down pipe since my 02 harness only has 1 o2 sensor pulled old intake and exhaust to get ready for new one and found a broken intake manifold ugh plus side got the new 02 harness mated to bumblebee had to take a few sensors off my 2.5 that the 04 connectors wouldn't line up to also need new 02 oil pressure sensor since the one on the 04 is 2 wire and the 02 is 3 wire haven't found the trigger wire for the starter yet but only really have Sundays to throw a full day at it so progress is slow but still moving forward

Got a whole list of new parts tho new fuel pump new exhaust manifold valve cover gasket rear drums shoes hardware and wheel cylinders even got new parking brake cables so I can have an e brake again got 4x4 shift cable coming tomorrow got 2 new fenders and fender skirts missing light gas cap well all new tie rods track bar ect so hopefully got some more progress this sun will keep updated
