Hey everyone, I have 2000 TJ. Yesterday when I got in and put the ac on high it cut out after like 30 seconds, then it would come back on and off. As soon as I put the fan setting to 3 it worked perfectly. It seems like the only setting is doesn’t work in is fan on 4 and recirculate. Every time I put it on that specific setting it cuts in and out. I’ve replaced the blower Motor, resistor, and ac control switch. Any guesses on what it could be?

My best guess would be a loose or damaged wire between the speed selector switch and the blower motor or resistor.
Start by downloading the FSM for your TJ:

Scroll down to the wiring diagrams for the blower motor, and see what colors they are, especially for the 4th fan speed. Once you know that, go and trace those wires and see if you can find any issues. Perhaps leave it on the 4th fan speed and try jiggling wires and harnesses to see if you can get it to cut in or out.
