This build is the result of more than a decades worth of experience with the TJ/LJ platform. I'll state up front that this is not your average build and you won't find anything else close in quality, on 31" tires. If you're looking for something unlike anything else, and built with no compromises, this is the Jeep for you! Others here know my work, which is always focused on meticulous attention to detail.
The explicit purpose of this build was to keep weight down and maintain the traditional look of a "stockish" TJ, without actually being stock. My goal was to build around a 31" tire, for everyday driving, while maximizing ground clearance. As it sits, with a 2" suspension lift and 1.25" body lift, there is 14" clearance at the belly skid and 14" at the gas tank skid. I also built the Jeep with the future in mind. With only a few adjustments, 4" Currie springs and 33" tires can be added, which will result in an 18" belly height. Additionally, at that point, 10" travel shocks can be added. During the build process the suspension was cycled more than a dozen times, resulting in tweaks made to ensure it can run to full bump with zero interference.
Overall, this is one of the cleanest and well thought out TJ's you'll find. As stated before, it isn't cheap, but no compromises were made. If someone tried to duplicate this build, they would easily be north of $30K. It is rust free, reliable, drives amazing, has no vibrations, and puts a smile on your face every time you sit in the seat and turn the key. Here are details from the build:
