The bearing is shot on my A/c compressor and I need to replace it. Ive looked at getting a whole new compressor but i am 17 and hardly ever use the A/C so i would really like to just replace the bearing.http://www.szr-bearing.com/product.html I know this is a common problem and ive searched and have had no luck with any guidance. Does anyone have a good write-up on how to do this. I would appreciate any help anyone has to offer.

Youtube A/C bearing replacement. The process is pretty similar.
If you don't use the compressor you can look into a Dorman A/C delete bracket. I just installed it on my xj's 4.0 since the A/C was useless to me (bearing was not turning smoothly). Took about 30 minutes to install and that included removal of A/C.

Wait... I didn't even know you could only replace the bearing, I thought you had to get a whole new AC compressor. Am I wrong?
Well if that's the case all you should need is a gear puller (for the pulley) and a press (to get the bearing in and out) I assume.
