I have a 98' wrangler 4.0L w/ front bumper/winch and spare tire in the rear. Planning on installing OME 2" with HD coils from everything I read. Plan on running 31/10.5 tires.

When installing the kit is there anything else I can do/replace/etc. while I've got stuff taken apart to smooth out the ride more? She admittedly won't be seeing much trail riding. Just looking for the most comfortable road ride with 2" lift on 31" tires.

Thanks in advance

The general OME kits like you'd get from Quadratec are one size fits all. The DPG Ultimate Kit is more complete and tailored to your Jeep. The rear track bar relation bracket is also not a great option because you need to use a 2" bump stop to keep it from hitting the tub.

DPG Ultimate Kit
  • 4-OME Sport Series Shocks
  • 4-OME Coil Springs (your choice of coil rates)
  • JKS “Quicker” Disconnects
  • JKS 1.25″ Body Lift
  • JKS 1″ Motor Mount Spacers
  • JKS Adj. Track bar (front) JKS Adj. Trackbar (rear)
  • DPG 2″ Extended Bump stops (Front & rear)
  • JKS Adj Rear Swaybar End Links
If you talk to Dirk, he'll recommend which springs will work best for you. It's up to you whether or not you want OME or Rancho shocks. If you want Rancho, the cost of the shocks will be deducted from the kit price. I have the OME shocks and I think they ride great.

Don't really need a body lift for 31s. If OP doesn't plan on many trails I see no reason for a body lift on his TJ.
I've had both the OME nitro Sport and now the Rancho 5000x shocks. Both ride pretty similar. Either get the shocks with the springs for convenience, or don't, and instead get the Ranchos to save some cash. Either will give a similar ride in my opinion.
Be sure to check thoroughly the steering and the control arm bushings while you are down there.
Also, you will need to do an alignment. Any change in spring height will need one.
Good luck. Keep us posted if you have any questions. 🤓
