AEV Pintlers

I really like AEV Pintlers. I am thinking about buying new 17x8.5 Pintlers with the 5x5 bolt pattern and using 1.25 inch spacers. That will give me 4 inch backspacing which is about what I want. This will be ridiculously expensive ($260 per wheel plus $200 for spacers). Am I friggin crazy or does this sound like a good idea?

I think @Chris ran the same wheels on his prior TJR. What size tires do you have? With 17 inch wheels anything smaller then 35s may look a bit off.

That's do able. I saw in your description you had roughly 31 inch tires so I was thinking they may be a bit low profile looking.

The AEV Pintlers are some good looking wheels. The Moabs also look good though so it's a tough call.

I believe @Mike_H has the JK Pintlers with 1.25" spacers and 33" tires. Maybe he'll chime in.

I don't think you're crazy. Those are some of the best looking wheels out there IMHO.

I too really like those wheels. To me, one of, if not, the best looking designed wheel in our scene. I was so disappointed and actually upset w AEV for not offering it in our bolt pattern- haha

No crazy to want them, but they are expensive if you buy them. I lucked out and got mine used. They look good with 33's, in my opinion
