Air conditioning pipe joint removal

Hello all!

Removing the air con while I fit the SC, but for the life of me I can't seem to disconnect the pipes where they join.
Easy enough to remove the metal clamp, but from there no idea.

Any suggestions?

When I say where the pipes join, I mean this connection:

You need something like this... harbor Freight and all the tool stores have them...some folks cut marker caps up and slide them in.

Those are spring locks, hear is a set of release tools

Ha! I remember doing the sharpie cap on an old ford plow trucks fuel lines! It worked in a pinch!

I have a kit for fuel lines which has all those tools in - Never thought about those!
