All over the road

Well like i was saying, its sits so high that my control arm angle is severe. Iss it possible that i have my pinion angle so releaved that its allowing it to move badly? Maybe i should adjust it more so that my springs r not bending and possibly creating that rear movement?
Well 6° of caster is in the ball park for good handling , I cant remember the numbers on pinion ....even that pitman arm could make it wag its tail I suspect.

On the front im about 5 to 7. I suppose im gonna try to locate a stock pitman arm and switch em out. See if that helps. I certainly am glad i joined the forum to get some opinions. Thanks to all of u.

Yep , get that dropped pitman arm off , and be free.

We hereby banish all dropped pitman arms , dropped pitman arms , we darn thee.

Notice the diverging track bar and drag link angle .

Chris , be sure to put "DPA " on his avatar until this is fixed , and cut his points credit to 50 percent.
Whats this dpa and cutting point credit mean? Im new here and not sure what any of that means. Could u explain?

It's a joke. It has to do with how your posts are enjoyed.

Get rid of the dropped pitman arm. Take a post of your rear driveshaft and pinion from the side so we can see how that looks. Get tire pressure to around 26-28 all around. Get your toe-in to 1/8" or a hair less.

Gotcha. I love the jokes but just didnt get it. I have done everything myself except set up the diffs. Gonna tackle that next as i lock the front. Wish i would not have built a dana 35 but too late now. Lol. Ill switch when i destroy this one. Anyhow, thanks for the welcome. I feel like its set up nice for being a stock setup. I have been trying to get it back together and on the road since getting it back. My tj was locked up at the sherrif station for almost six years! Just happy to have it back.

Oh lord , theres a story there somewhere!

I was having a similar feeling in my steering recently after lifting from stock to 4”. I don’t have a dropped pitman arm but initially I was trying to just get away with a stock rear track bar with relocation bracket on the rear axle (adjustable on front). This left my rear axle kicked out a little to the passenger side and was causing a little binding in the rear suspension as the axle naturally wanted to settle a little more to the driver side. On turns and any road that wasn’t smooth it felt like rear steer but going straight was no issue. I put on an adjustable rear track bar and the problem went away. I think (but I won’t claim to be an expert) that the small amount of difference in axle centering under the frame was the issue, and any turn or bump would translate that misalignment into wandering that I had to steer and correct for.

Definately helps. I do have adjustable everything as far as lift goes. Everything is centered up. Thank u.

Definately but, unfortunately its a terrible story. In 2013 my pregnant wife and daughter were on their way home from my mothers and some coward s.o.b. shot them. My wife and fetus did not make it but, my daughter who was 14 months old at the time took a bullet right between the eyes and survived. By the grace of god, she was spare and has no problems at all. She is amazingly tough and is the reason im putting it back on the road. She calls it "mommy's jeep". Gonna give it too her when the time comes. We got awhile to go. Lol. She s only seven now.

Cant wait to wheel again. How do ya feel about them back springs being bent like that. Should iput a little more angle in it to put my spring purches back to being more level?

I'd go for closer to the factory orientation.

I don't think the DPA is the problem. A DPA is a horrible idea if the PHB is in stock location. From the picture they should play nice together. How are the ends on the PHBs?
