I'm thinking of changing my fender Flares or perhaps painting them. I just saw a good price for new flares on Amazon, the name of the company is Omix made by Rugged Ridge. Has anyone purchased these Omix flares, and how's the quality if so?

the quality is fine & it's cheap & easy enough to swap them out, some of the fasteners will be a pain in the ass but in the end it'll look better than painting the old ones

How long of a job is it, and is removing the liner a pain in the ass?

About an hour. Don’t forget, some of the attachments use rivnuts, and some have a goofy plastic backing you’ll need to hold.

Liner is annoying but not hard, if you decide to put back, get mix bag of xmass tree push clips to reinstall

Unrelated, but kind of related........It looks like you have body colored rock guards from this picture. Did you have to do anything special to be able to still use the fender extensions after installing the rock guards?

Those aftermarket flares look terrible. Id suggest removing your original flares then painting them with krylon fusion. The OEM flares will look as good as new and the paint will last for many years.

There are no rock guards, that's just the body itself. If you're referring to the black fasteners, they are just plugs filling the otherwise ugly holes left behind when I removed the old guards during my un-build...

Slide thin sheets of cardboard from the Dollar Store behind the flares and spray them with Krylon Fusion black satin paint. Semi-gloss if you like a shinier look.

Looks great. Question, if I decide to go that route, should I do any prior prep work, cleaning, light sanding etc, and should I use an adhesion spray before the krylon?

Scuff the surface is best for paint adhesion
Keep in mind any “deep black” moisture polish youve used in the past may complicate adhesion long term

Personally Id do something a bit more aggressive like rhino liner, but thats me. (Just dont spray the body side connection) I tried tbe Krylon fusion method on on my F150 camper top, my Jeep bumpers, etc. That all looks like ass after 2 years. It is NOT made for UV resistance, and is a very short term fix

Need a better UV resistant sealcoat. Also did my Victory Magnums wind deflectors on the forks and the clearcoat is peeling after a short life.
