So I just calculated my mpg and I get 12.02

Mainly highway driving cruising at 60. (Stayed on the right lane on purpose). Flat, no hills.

That's on the low end right?

Edit: forgot to add this is based on tank filled to max then driven for 199 miles. Light came on and I filled up again with 16.55 gallons. What tire size is the TJs cluster calibrated too? I'm guessing the original owner did not calibrate the cluster 8k miles ago when he went to a slightly larger tire than stock.

I've got your exact tire size setup on my 02 sahara with 148k miles. I'm running a 2" spacer lift and 1.25 body lift and I get 14-16 with mixed driving.

2003 ,4.0, 5 speed ,33" KO2 tires.

Just regeared , 4:10 to 4:56

Shocked .

Filled up. Drove 120 actual gps miles . Refueled.

Used 6 gallons of gas....20 mpg. Prior to regear was 13-14.

Yeah I'm trying the 02 sensor to see if it helps. 12mpg cruising at 60mph on a flat highway doesn't sound right.

The rpms seem a bit high at this speed no... Or is it normal for the 3 speed?

Make sure the torque converter is going into lockup aka "overdrive".

This reminds me of a brand new F250 that I saw this weekend.

It had this huge air dam up front. I bet he scrapes driveways. Not sure if factory or he added it himself.

Hey GTBoosted, curious if the upstream O2 sensor fixed the problem? or was it something else (like the torque converter mentioned by someone else on this thread). By the way, I have a '99 4.0 w/ 32rh trans, 31X10.50 tires and it runs at 2250rpm at 67 MPH on flat road.
