Another Shock Thread

Noticed Thursday while my Jeep was on the lift getting new unit bearings that my back, passenger Rancho 9000xl is leaking. I’ve had these shocks since 2014 with around 25k miles. Can’t find my receipt or where I bought them so I’m left with either replacing that shock and probably the other rear, or starting down a different shock path.

Looks like for the price of (2) 9000xls I could get a whole set of 5000Xs.

What setting do you run the 9000 at? Someone here found Rancho claim that setting 4 (iirc) is similar to 5000x.

Usually around the 3/4 setting

Whatever shock you decide I don't see a need to replace all four as a set. If you liked the ride before the shock blew I wouldn't mess with it too much. I'd just replace the rears.
