I bought a 2000 Jeep Wrangler sport. Looking to put new front and rear seats in. I am taking care of the sway bar links and bushings along with some Bilstein shocks all around. Any suggestions for seats, and not covers
Any suggestions on replacement seats?

Aiming for quality and not trying to save a buck, I seen some reviews and the bilstiens were always recommended, on the forum here everyone complained about the bilstien and enjoyed the rancho. Good point to make and thank you for the advice. Going for the rancho 5000
Bilsteins are a waste of money on a TJ.
Corbeau is the name in seats , but Bartact gives you a great look , and they are essentially heavy duty upholstery . I put heated seats under mine.

Thanks everyone, I have picked out some Corbeau seats, replacing the heater core first and then the carpet
Now that you've ahd the Corbeau seats for a while, how do you like them? What model did you get? Did the bolt right to the existing factory seat bracket or did you have to modify it or buy some adapter?

I got my 06 front and rear seats reupholstered with katzkin leather from a local shop. Had them add heaters too. Don't have a picture of the rear seat, took it out to make more room for my giant dog
I had the Baja RS Corbeau's and they were dog shit, fabric wore out in 6 months of daily driving...so they warrantied the fabric, I took the seat to them and the second one lasted 7 months, not worth the money, look at tiburon seats, they are nice and you can get them with heaters if you want.
Courbeau GT seats with the right adapter are a great option. Full tilt/recline and snug, yet comfortable. I installed the GT seats in the 1997 I recently acquired and with the right bracket and a bit of tweaking they only sit 1/2" taller than the beat down stock ones. I am sure once I ride more and the seats fully break in, the ride height of the seats will be the same as stock if not lower than stock height which will perfect for me.
Corbeau seats are made in China, very few think their quality is anything to brag about. PRC is what I installed into my TJ and they're American made right here in SoCal.

Yeah, well mine wore out and sun faded, if I use the covers as a pattern maybe a real upholstery shop could get them to last more than a year...maybe... and if I supplied the leather
Oh and I drove to their warehouse in Bluffdale UT, to drop the seat off and pick it up. Who ever was running the joint made sure to tell me that they would not warranty their shit product again, hence me never coming back. Now Tom Wood drive shafts? that place will always get my business...Tom has always treated me right and was quick to do the work.
I'm going to put a vote down for putting 03-06 seats in your 97-02 Jeep. A nice upgrade. And getting them reupholstered is a great idea. I like the cloth but it's a little dated. Leather would be nice. In fact the newer rear seat won't bolt in to the early model Jeeps. So getting newer front seats and having them all upholstered the same would be the cats meow. It's what I've done to my '99. I see a trip to Baja in my future. I had a tonneau cover made for a pick up in TJ. And it was cheap to have done and very good material. On the same note Julio's Upholstery in LA does great work for super cheap. Look them up on Yelp. You'd probably save money on a trip to Baja.
I could see the benefit of the bucket style seats in an offroad or rock crawler jeep. But I don't think they would work for my back and getting in and out of the Jeep. Plus I'm a big dude. So I think they would cramp my style a bit. Never been a big fan of those style seats. Maybe that's why.
I don't know if they would fit. But I've been driving a new Nissan Altima. And they have the most comfortable seats I've ever sat in long term. I drive rental cars for work. And have had several different kinds for months at a time. Fairly small car or medium sized. If they fit it would be a great solution. They literally are amazing seats. Leather or cloth. I've used both for a few months now. I've had three artificial discs put in my back. So I have back issues. And I'm very sensitive to seats. And back pain. These Altima seats are amazing.
The Tiburons look great too though. Just don't know how comfortable they are. Honda seats are nice. I had a set in my Samurai back in the day. And they fit fine. So I know they'd fit in a Jeep. Easy to make brackets for too.
