So i have an alpine thin subwoofer in box that i keep behind my back seat. I did that for a year but i want my very limited trunk space back. So I was researching what everybody else does and i saw some cool pictures of a subwoofer hidden in the seat which seems like its a lot of work and the other would be to put it in the stock console. Has anybody built one for under the console? If so how big of a sub could you fit underneath?

I did some slight modification to my center console storage pocket to fit a 8" slimline sub. Works quite well.

Building something similar. is there any rattle or vibrations that you can hear from the plastic center console?

I just made a way overbuilt (coronavirus lock down) toolbox/subwoofer combo. It replaces the seat in the back and sounds way better than I expected. Got 2 10” subs and a Kenwood amp plus room for a bunch of junk. Started off just as a simple toolbox but all this time at home caused it to mushroom into this monstrosity!
