Are all comms radios "mono" only?

I ran this wire from the external speaker plug of my Yaesu FT-7900R to the AUX input of my Sony head unit. Works fine, but only on the driver's side speakers. Is that normal?

I guess so, since the Yaesu only has one speaker itself, and is designed to go to only one external speaker. Any way to get it to come out of all four speakers?

That’s correct, you should be able to find the 2 connector variant of that same cable and get audio out of both sides. This won’t be the length you need, but notice the number of rings in the barrel.

p.s. Since I already have a cable, and already ran it behind the dash, etc., couldn't I just get this adapter and stick it on between the cable and the head unit?

Plugging a stereo cable into a mono jack "should" and "usually" will couple both channels together and you'd get sound from both sides. BUT - sometimes it doesn't work even though its supposed to...
