There seems to be a very wide range either in the generic tune Fox sends out or in people's assessments of them.

There is an even wider range of response in the aluminum body versions, a distinction which needs to be made anytime shocks from Fox are being discussed.

Very few people will admit to spending the kind of money they charge for fox shocks, even the performance line, and then say they aren’t happy with them, even if they ride like a dump truck.

The other thing that goes on is we adapt to an eroding ride quality, then when new parts are put in, it’s a dramatic difference. So people attribute that to the shock, even though a stock replacement likely would have made just as big a difference.
