Are these u-joints bad?

Picked up 1996 Jeep XJ in pretty decent overall condition Saturday. Bought it from a older gentleman and he disclosed all issues prior to purchase. Headliner, windshield, floorplans, and these u-joint need attention. Planning on keeping it for a few months while I take care of these things and then selling it.

Anyways he said what happened with the u-joints is he let one of his relatives drive it for awhile and she had left it in 4wd the whole time she had it leading to this.

Are these u-joints bad?

Looks like a spicer floating u joint. The ones that are self adjusting.
