Arizona Rock Crawler

Hey quick question for you @starkey480 since I know you have the geo bracket. I'm assuming that the track bar mount is angled to account for track bar bind when pinion angle being tilted back correct? Or do you just figure that in when you weld it on?

Sorry for what may seem like a dumb question. Just trying to get everything ironed out on my new tj and am working on doing the sye to get rid of transfer case drop. Wondering if maybe I should just do the geo correction instead of getting a angled track bar mount, hitting two birds with one stone. Trying to plan everything in my head.

Yeah the tb mount on the geo correction is angled for DC style driveshaft. The brackets only weld on one way so you don’t have to take into account your angles or anything. They just weld parallel to the sway bar mounts.

I absolutely recommend the Noico. I stripped the vehicle and got it just about everywhere I could. I wish getting the dash out was a simple affair or I would've covered the entire firewall. I think that would've made it even better. With the seats out, I got it as high up as I could manage. It made a world of difference for sound even before getting around to putting the carpet back in. The vehicle felt less rickety and more solid. The sound when closing the tailgate also changed to a more expensive German car sound. I had saved about half a box that I was planning to use on the doors and on the backs of some interior pieces to try to eliminate some panel resonances. But the car was wrecked before I could finish. If you have the patience, I would take the dash out and get it on the higher parts of the firewall that are unreachable with it in. Or you could just keep some leftover material for when you have to remove the dash out of necessity and do it then. If you are the type who sprays out the tub, then this wouldn't be for you although you can use soup cans and leather punches to cut out perfect circle holes around all bolts and drainage plugs, which is what I did. The shipping weight is 27 lbs per box. One box should make a difference if you just address all key areas but to do it really well with full coverage, two boxes will be best.
How good the Noico blocks the heat? Any weird smell comes out while on hot temps?

Frame tie ins today. Thanks @rasband ! Now I can feel safe pulling @Chris out if he gets stuck 😜

I’ve been told by many people that the two biggest waterfalls are not doable in a short wheelbase without a winch. They must have been JK folk
If you read about that trail a lot of the guys claim you can’t do it in anything but a buggy.

I wish I could have watched those JLs and see how they made it out in terms of damage.

I guarantee their wives weren’t happy when they got home. Those things looked fresh off the lot

They sure did. Some of those obstacles we hit later on where you used your corner armor, I just don’t see how anything wider than a TJ would make it through there without serious damage.
