ASD Fuse Removed

I have a 97 Wrangler Sahara. The jeep runs fine and everything works. Today, I noticed that the ASD fuse was missing in the fuse box. I have not had any problems with anything, but was concerned that this was not there. No idea if the former owner had issues with anything. Is there something I should be checking?

Seems odd that it would start with out power to the ASD relay. What fuse number are you looking at?

That’s what I thought as well. The fuse is F7 in the box which is listed as ASD

According to the '97 FSM wiring schematic on page 8W-11-8 the ASD is powered by fuse 6 (30A) in the PDC which also sends power to the PCM and page 8W-20-3 fuse 11 (10A) in the Fuse Block (behind the glove compartment) powers the relay coil.
IF either of the fuses were missing powering the ASD and PCM or the relay coil; then a PO has rewired the circuits.
Further investigation is required and I would be concerned WHY the rewiring was done?

Thanks CharlesHS. You are correct. I counted the fuses wrong - started at 1 instead of 2 for the fuses. The ASD fuse is in F6. It is the Auxiliary Coolant Fan fuse in F7 that is not there - not used on this model.

Sorry for the miss on this one and thanks for sending the service manual. That will be a big help with some other items.
