Automatic Transmission Pump

So I just recently had a slip yoke eliminator installed at a local shop and I also told them to look into a weird squeak coming from the transmission. The squeak happens mostly when it is in park and sometimes when I am in drive and going very slow. They told me that they thought that it was the transmission pump. They recommended me to a transmission shop but I am wondering how much roughly is the labor and parts for this job?

Sadly I wont be able to do that. I would think about 800 if they had to remove the transmission then?

12-2000 is more like it. A few others have recently had one done and that was the prices they stated.

I'd check the fluid level first. It doesn't make sense to do anything but a full rebuild if you are pulling the transmission for service. You have to gut it to get to the pump anyway. You might look for a used one if you are on a budget. I'd take it to the shop and see what they say. Transmission work costs depend allot on where you are and the shop.
