I know there is probably a thousand of these threads so I apologize! Let me start off by saying that I am new here and am glad to be apart of the community. I have a 97 2.5L with the stock 4.10s running 31s. The buckets are rusting out on my current axles. I got a good deal on a stock set (I know I know, why buy stock and not upgrade both to Dana 44.) I’m eventually going to swap out my current ones with the ones I bought. However before I do this I am going to tear them down and regear them better suit the tire size. Many people say that you can’t or shouldn’t run 35s with the 2.5 on stocks. If I was to go with 35s I should probably do 5.13s (upgrade to super 35 possibly)?? However if I decide to stay in the 31s to 33s range should I go 4.56s or 4.88s? I do drive on the highway some but not a whole lot. Just looking to hear from everyone on this.
