Could you install the Holley LED bulbs in the Koito housings ?
Would that be an economical work around ?
The Holley housings are probably designed for LED use.
No.

The Koito use a standard H4 halogen bulb. Just a couple of bucks on Q-Tec.

The Koito kit is absolute bargain. The glass lens have a great reflector setup with a clean pattern. I ran them with the upgraded harness and 80/100 bulbs. Performance was superb. Bulbs are really inexpensive.. I think I bough a handful of the from Q-Tex for under $5 each.

I just didn't like the 3000k. I also dislike the look of most LEDs kits that are not visually period correct. KC makes another good option. Don't know much about them.

I am running the Koito housings, 100/130 bulbs and the harness for approximately 3 years and their performance have been great for what I spent.
No plans to spend the $400+ on the Holley housings and bulbs.
Just inquiring.

I ordered the Toyota kit yesterday. I’m anxious to get them and get them setup so hopefully I can see better.

I ordered 2 sets last week when the sale was still on, $34 shipped to my local Toyota dealer for 2 sets of H4s plus quality harnesses can't be beat! I called today to get an ETA, and the guy said 3-4 week backorder (thanks, all you other Jeepers). I'm running the K Suspension harness already, so I'm thinking of using one of the Toyota harnesses to wire up my new (to me) OEM fog lights.

I'm in the process of making a harness for fog lights from a harness similar to the K Suspension one. I don't want to cut and splice into the OEM fog lights wiring so I'll be cutting the connectors off of the K Suspension relay harness clone and soldering on connectors that I cut off off a pair of TJ fog light extensions. That way the OEM fog light harness stays unmolested.

I have a set of OEM fog light connectors in my eBay cart, just need to get them to me and then I will be doing much the same! My 01 Sahara does not have the original wiring for fog lights.

They are really hard to beat if you don't mind the warm color temperature.

I’m going to run them for a bit and see. I’ve got the Hella 100/80 H4 bulbs coming from Amazon as well. And, there’s at least one thread about LEDs in these housings, so lots of options!

i love my holley retrobrites

If money was no object, $400+ Holleys would be a possibility. However, this is just supposed to be more of a hobby ride/trail rig than DD, so expensive stuff is tough to justify to myself. The folks on this forum seem to all agree with you, haven't heard anything negative about them at all!

Might work for you. In general, the reflector designed for H4's is less than ideal if you're retro-fitting aftermarket LEDs. Give it try.
Didn't work for me.
