I searched and couldn’t find anything in this topic. It’s 100+ in Vegas headed for 115 before I know it. I need a new windshield sun shade but I hate putting the regular ones up flipping down the visors then taking it out and storing it somewhere since they are big and bulky. Has anyone innovated the sun shade or put together a good form fit solution for the TJ?

There is a Mopar branded TJ “specific,” shade that Morris 4x4 sells. Not sure if it meets your requirements. Yet to read any reviews on it.

Looks like the one I have. Got it for a xmas gift couple yrs ago, didn't know what it cost though $$. It folds up when not in use and comes with a storage bag. I like it.

The summers where I live get as hot as Las Vegas. The sun is going to cook any windshield sun shade, the elastic will become brittle, etc.

I have not found anything that works better or is more cost effective than one of the cheap accordion fold, foil-backed shades available almost everywhere. They're cumbersome, but they work.

How about these?

Do the genric ones at Wal-Mart fit around the mirror pretty well? Or is it what you would expect from a generic one size fits all sun shade?

I bought one of these.
https://www.extremeterrain.com/covercraft-uvs100-custom-sunscreen-silver-9706-tj.htmlSo far it has held up fine and fits well. I’ve had it about 3 years I believe. I live in the high desert and it gets hot as well. It’s still pricey for a sunshade, but fits good and that was my goal. Everything I bought off the shelf just didn’t fit worth a darn. They are all made for more modern larger windshields.

For the price of some of these , consider a trail cover and save the entire interior. I have one and love it.

My last store bought windshield sunshade fit okay but not great. They come in different sizes. I might have trimmed mine with scissors, but my memory is fuzzy on that.

My current windshield sunshade is a small scrap piece of Reflectix double reflective insulation from a roll at the hardware store. They sell it by the foot. I use the same stuff to cover my ice chest in very hot weather.

I want one with jeepin jerry bransford on it. He's a gosh darned legend. @Jerry Bransford

JB on a sunshade, will sell like hotcakes.

The forum should do a group buy. And no I'm not joking.
