Blower switch inop on highest speed

Hey all, I just joined as I just stepped into a '97 TJ and now I'm finding all the little "issues" that the seller didn't disclose and I figured you had the knowledge base here. Anyway, it has a four speed fan blower switch that is flat dead on the highest speed. I replaced the duct resistor and no joy- what say you? Thanks! By the way, I'm truly a CJ guy...

check the connection to it mine had same problem wire was melted from drawing to much voltage because blower motor was going bad

The resistor pack is completely bypassed for the highest fan speed so that would never cause a problem for the fastest fan speed. Odds are that it's the switch itself that has a bad contact at its high speed position.
