Broken seat (bottom metal)

I have a nice set of sahara seats only issue is the base of the seat is cracked out where it attaches to the slider. I will attach a pic for reference. I'm thinking of welding a small plate top and bottom is there a better way?

It's really thin metal, you should only need to weld to one side of the frame- saves you the trouble of taking it apart! I'd also add washers to the other seat bolts to keep everything level with the new plate.

Hammer it back straight, then weld a plate on the inside of the frame. This will avoid having to add washers/spacers to the other 3 bolts.

It really is thin there I've never had this issue before so I never noticed

This is what I’d do except probably just weld a washer to it and not a plate
