That dash. At least it doesn't appear to have a screen in it, but the original sure would have been nicer than that plastic monstrosity.
Back when I was in highschool, my brother had a I think was a '46' Dodge pickup that the headlights were on the fenders and the front window would roll up towards the front. We used to travel the foothills of East Sacramento and drink cheap whiskey and smoke cheaper weed. A buddy and I would straddle the head lights on the fenders while my brother was driving, looking like a crazed fool over my shoulder. Sometime around '75'
Around that time my mom had a 1958 Chevy Nomad station wagon that she drove us, eight kids all together, down to San Diego. That was over the old Grapevine. Also got to cross over to Tijuana at that time. I think some of us are lucky to be alive at our age.
