"Flame" paint jobs definitely harken to days gone by, but I much prefer the workings of a recently departed Airbrush Master from Everett, WA. @Squatch you probably know who I'm referring to. He is responsible for "True Fire" his own trademarked painting style!

Here is an example of Mike Lavallee's work. Mike passed away 4/13/2020 at the age of 60.

I remember his work from the tv car shows of the mid 2000s. Damn good painter.

I had a boss years back who was involved in putting a 454 into a bug. He always said, "Why yes, you *can* put a 454 into a Volkswagen Beetle - but WHY?!" Apparently it would go like a striped ape, but the rest of the chassis couldn't keep up so stopping it and steering it were a bit dicey...
