Me when I was 14 on my new 1961 Cushman Super Eagle. I worked hard for two years, saving my money to buy this on my 14th birthday. Ain't I cool.

So how much did that cost and do you still have it?
I don't remember what it costs, but I was making one dollar per hour or less. I sold it when I turned 16 to buy a 1952 Pontiac. It was a tank with a straight 8 engine, a sofa in the front and another sofa in the back. 
Wasn't there an issue with that car? It seems like it was sold by a dealer who was to use it as display only, then Ford had to go through some trouble to buy it back. Or am I mixing that story up with another car?
I think you are correct. If my memory serves me a doctor ordered it and actually was the first owner and then Ford ended up buying it back. Something along those lines
