Car pics too cool not to share

I know I've never seen, nor even heard of one before. I'm liking it!!!

I thought it was rather unusual and yes I liked the looks of it too. At only 150HP that little V-6 isn't a power house but for a sub 2000lb car it should be enough.

Pretty sure that's the driver's education course my minivan-driving daughter took, based on the repairs I've had to do on her vehicles...;)

Are you trying to say she doesn't drive very well...

She drives great! She drives it into this, and drives it into that. Eventually, she'll drive the latest one into the ground...;)

Mine seemed to like shiny side down and greasy side up years back. Rolled two of them. Also got T-boned by a meter maid in one of those 3 wheel Cushman things.

That takes talent.

Doesn't it? Happened in a parking garage. That was my first experience with the "Police are never wrong, and will close ranks FAST if questioned.". I'm 95% sure it was daughter's fault, but it burned me that there was zero investigating.

Yeah, you really have to watch those boys-in-blue. Some are good, some are not.

BTW, how much actual damage was done?

From the Corvette:

That's a 99 RON/MON rating, a little lower than I would have expected. My Chrysler recommends 98 as a minimum. I guess a ZL1 427 is around 10.5:1 comp.

12.5:1

How much horsepower does a 1969 Corvette ZL1 have?

550-horsepower

The ZL1 Corvette tribute is stuffed with one of the rarest engine options ever - an all-aluminum version of the L88 that was 100 pounds less and rated at 430-horsepower. However, the actual output was an impressive 550-horsepower. The car dominated the quarter-mile in 11.2 seconds in at 127 miles per hour.

Edit: To add a little more.

Caved in the passenger side quite a bit, broke a window. The door hinges were welded on, so it wasn't easy to replace the thing with a junkyard find (Chrysler K-car). Didn't warp anything, car was still driveable.

I'm always a fan of more cylinders but, if I'm being honest, I've never been a big fan of the 4th generation Mustang. The looks never did much for me. But speaking of Mustangs, I notice lately there's been a fair number of '66 Mustangs listed for sale in the northeast, and at least a few of them would appear to be solid deals. If I had an extra 20k handy I think I'd have myself one. 😛

Did you watch the video? I didn’t realize it was a different engine than the trucks had.
