Car pics too cool not to share

That said , most project cars a young feller can afford isn't going to be text book correct . I vote for doing things somewhat wrong , and get some primer and paint over the bare metal and call it good for 5 years max . @ IBasket could enjoy this mid engine Toyo for a few years , then get married and used the Bimmer and Chevy Silverado . During our poor time of life , my sweet wife and I had 2 kids in car seats and a K-10 and K-20 pickups as our only vehicles. We had to take 2 trucks if we all had to go somewhere. That MR-2 could be a ton of fun even if it's wrong .
Some of my funnest cars were 85% wrong body and paint wise .

I'm not concerned about cosmetics, for the record. This is why I typically refrain from giving any body/paint advice, I should listen to myself more often. :)

I miss roadkill🙁

On the same basic subject, does anyone here have any car related channels/shows that they watch with any kind of regularity? I watched Roadkill and Roadkill Garage until their demise. Freiburger's solo effort is pretty good, most of the time. I also watch Budget Buildz, and while I do enjoy it, it holds nowhere near the level of interest that the Roadkill shows did for me. But the one show that I never miss is one out of Canada called Cold War Motors. Been watching it since its very raw beginnings (14 years, I think...?). Scott is an insanely talented body man, and the cast of characters he hangs out with (agents, he calls them) really adds to the entertainment value. It's my go-to show, without a doubt.

Wife and I will occasionally binge watch "Iron Restoration". They're pretty good, but apply the same formula to just about every car: Slam it first - or at least lower it substantially - then build up the rest of it. That Mexican painter who does all their painting is a friggin' "Artiste" - talent and skill!

Chili , I appreciate you , you spent X numbers of years in body and paint , yet you entertain ramblings like mine in your wheelhouse .

I am the rust whisperer. I have deep routed issues with corrosion, like angry, PTSD-type reactions to it. It just ruins things, and many of those things are no longer made and getting harder to fix/replace.

Can you hear that? I can. If you listen carefully, you can my LJ's frame surface corroding from the latest round of storm salting on the roads as I type this...and my sphincter tightens... 🤪

RP's work speaks for itself. Cool designs, incredible craftsmanship and problem solving. The finished products are really impressive.

Not cars, but who doesn't like armor? The fabrication and resto work these guys pull off is nothing short of amazing in many cases.

Both are weekly watches.

I watch cleetus a lot, his cleet & squirrel videos are entertaining if you don't take it too seriously. Also, vice grip garage is pretty cool, 1320 video, deboss garage, grind hard plumbing builds some crazy shit.

I like Cleet's cheap car challenges, although they have lost some of their draw without The Biff.

Zach tried to make up for it in the last one.
