Car pics too cool not to share

I will never understand this. Granted, I'm not trying very hard, but I don't believe additional effort would make a difference in the outcome. :geek:

Hmmm, let me see how stupid I can make my car look. I've got it, I'll install gigantic wheels with rubber band tires. Oh, now it rides like it's on rubber band tires. It's a good thing I have a whole quarter inch of suspension travel to soak up the bumps.

Sometimes I despair for the human race.

I figure with that wheel/tire size combo and so little clearance, the suspension must be nonexistent and can't imagine it turns worth a shit. Likely rides worse than a buckboard. And while appearances are a subjective thing, I'm with you in that there's no appeal to it....It's a stupid looking thing, for sure. 😕

Sometimes I despair for the human race.

Indeed. Idiots have always existed, but it kind of feels like we're growing a disproportionate number of them nowadays. 😖

Allow me to impress you with some 1-up points....

I agree , In my opinion old school low riders aren't unusable and are kinda cool in their own way . To each their own .

(y) I'm more of a fan of traditional West Coast lowriders than not. That might have something to do with the fact they tend to favor my preferred flavor of big cars from the '60s. Some of those lowriders guys can make automotive works of art with paint and chrome.

A bagged Boat tail has the right look for a 70's vintage , of course Gypsy Rose is a car that crosses genres of cool cars .

I can’t decide which I like better, an old school low rider, a tail dragger, or a gasser. All are pure sex in my eyes!!!

I've chosen to embrace my oddballness and mix my flavors, but I do tend to stay early '70s and back, with early-mid '60s being my favorite flavor, and I tend to hate trends, like fake "patina". I like highly detailed factory stock cars to full customs.

I like this just as much as '60s Impala.

I find no flaw in your views, save for the fake patina (though done poorly, it does look like dog poo). I can't say that I have a favorite decade of automobile, though the '70s did become grossly weakened by the 5-mph crash bumpers. Anything beyond the '70s is most definitely a case-by-case situation for me. I truly am an automotive slut. I can't help it. Automobiles have always been a huge part of my life. Likely always will be. And I'm fine with that. ;)

Absolute Ditto ! Since I was a little boy I've been been drawn to cars/trucks/anything with an engine . I enjoy seeing other folks take on vehicles in person and really appreciate you guys on the forum .

The first car produced after WW II was a "46" Ford built on July 3,1945 for president Harry Truman . I'm sure being president of the United States didn't have any influence on getting the first civilian car .

Interesting. I've seen that pic before, but didn't know the context of it.
