Changing transmission fluid?

Got me a gallon of MTL and going out to change it. 6 speed manual. Do I just fill it till it starts to come out the fill hole?

Ted,
Before you crack the drain plug on your tranny, make sure you can remove the fill plug. A few years ago, when I went to change the fluid in my 5-speed, I couldn't open the fill plug; there was a burr inside the plug. I'm so glad I decided to try to crack that fill plug before I drained it...

Just changed the transmission fluid to MTL in my newly purchased (new to me) 2001 TJ. This is what I discovered:

Let us know if that stuff quietens it down /smooths the shift .
