Check engine light codes P0340 and P1391

So, about a week ago, I replaced my 02 sensor because 1, I got a random misfire code a few weeks back, and 2 I read the post about how when it is replaced it can really help on how the Jeep runs.

Today on the way home from work the CEL came on again. This time I got codes P0340 and P1391. My code reader has a "code connect" which tells you the top fixes and then goes down a list for other reported fixes. The top fix for both of these codes was to replace the crank shaft positioned sensor. I found the link for the sensor in the other forum so I ordered it and it will be here tomorrow.

My question is, will it hurt to drive it with these codes being thrown? I cleared the codes so the light is off now and I know that isn't fixing it. LOL But I was curious if it will hurt to drive it to work and back tomorrow. The Jeep still runs fine as far as I can tell. Sometimes I think it may have a little bit of a rough idle after just starting it and waiting at a light, but honestly I don't know for sure if it is a rough idle or just how the Jeep is, or, my mind thinking it is running rough. LOL It seems to go down the road just fine. Also, are there any other things I should be looking at besides the CSP sensor?

Ok, changed the sensor and the light is back off. I probably could have saved 95 bucks though. When I went to take the old one out, the nut holding it in was really loose. I was able to just unscrew it with my fingers. I went ahead and put the new one in though and did as the instructions said. I tightened it finger tight, then pushed it down and then tightened it with a ratchet. I was unable to use a torque wrench as I didn't have one small enough to get into that tight space. I got it as tight as I could for one being able to get the ratchet to click once each time I moved it. LOL No room at all under there. Now that I think about it though, I guess I could have went and got a shorter ratchet. Oh well I managed and it is tighter then the old one.

Hopefully this will end my check engine light coming on for a while.

To answer your question though, no, it wouldn't hurt at all to drive with those lights on.

Hopefully your CEL doesn't come back on anytime soon
