04 2.4 manual, 180,000ish
Hey everyone,
Jeep starts up every time I turn the key, though slow to start on occasion, still the first turn of the ignition. Never seen the Check Gauges light in my 4 months of ownership. It was even parked for nearly a month at one point.
Jeep sat all day while I was at work. When I left, the check gauges light came on. I had probably been driving at low speeds for less than 5 minutes.
I did notice the battery voltage changing some during driving, but I’ve never paid attention to if that was normal before other than checking gauges to make sure they were in normal range.
I never saw the voltage lower than 14 or higher than the dot above the 14. Seemed to fluctuate some depending on speeding up or driving up hill.
Cleaned my battery posts and cables a couple weeks ago.
Any ideas? Thanks!
