Chrysler is going insane

As far as I know, in AZ, any stored fault code, no matter if it turns on a CEL or not, will cause a vehicle to fail the state emission test.

The state only uses a sniffer on the pre OBD2 vehicles.

When a vehicle has a separate transmission module only certain transmission codes would cause an emission test failure. At least this has been my experience.

Not sure why a blower motor would cause a CEL unless it’s because of its use in the defrost mode and it’s considered a safety item???! Just guessing, no clue.

One potential plus. It could likely now be a part of the emissions warranty, which is typically a much longer warranty period than it would have been otherwise (i.e. 8 years/80k vs 3 years\50k etc).
