There’s a clunking sound when turning my steering wheel... I had my brother turn the wheel and with my head right next to the steering box, I am basically certain I can hear that that’s where it is coming from.

Do I just need to replace the whole box? Can I buy any box, or is there a recommended one? Anything else to look at? Thanks

I sent mine to bleepinjeep and he (or his buddy Matt) rebuilt it. Mine was a seal issue but if you’re needing bearings or gears maybe he could still help.
I’d be curious if there’s still a clunking when you’re is disconnected though. Try disconnecting the pitman arm and cycling the steering, then the linkage, to confirm it’s the box.
