Confusing on rear axle bearings

I want to replace the rear axle bearings in my TJ 4.0l, it was built in 97, first registered in the UK in 2000, it has a Dana 44, Ive watched a few video's and they show the bearing's either on the shafts itself or in the end of the axle casing, is this just way they come out or do some fit directly to the axle itself and some to the shafts ? Is there any way of telling which I have before I strip it ?

The 44 has bearings/seals pressed on, 35 has them in the end of the axle tube. You need a Set 10 bearing for the 44, preferably Timken. It comes complete; bearing, seal, locking collar.

Thanks for the reply Rob, I. Purchased these earlier, it don't mention set 10 but I'm assuming their correct for the Dana 44 I have

Many thanks Jerry appreciate the reply . Can I also ask, do I have to open up the rear diff to release the shafts or is it all done on at the hub on the Dana 44 ?
